Charity Shoot
On Sunday 11th March RN South Coast Archers held a Charity Fancy Dress tournament with all proceeds going to Help for Heroes. It was held at HMS Collingwood at Fareham and a Stafford indoor round was shot (6doz arrows at 30m) 2 Archers from Sway Bowmen attended. Annie Humphrey Shooting a compound bow and dressed as a Bee scored 591and collected a trophy winning 1st place Junior Lady Compound. Sandie Baigent shooting Longbow and dressed as a Serving Wench scored 288 also collected a trophy winning 1st place Lady Longbow.
DWAA Indoor Championships
On Sunday 4th March Dorset and Wiltshire Archery Association held their County and Open Championships at Salisbury. A double Worcester round was shot (5doz at 20yds twice). 2 Sway Bowmen attended Felix de Wattripont shooting a compound bow scored 273 and 275 making a score of 548 for the Double. He won 1st Junior boy Compound. His Dad Laurence de Wattripont also shooting a Compound bow scored 284 and 278 making a double score of 562.
