The October draw was held yesterday evening at the first indoor session at NM Rec. Cis Davis drew the balls and the winners were:

GOLD (£25) Tony Silver (7)

RED (£15) Lawrence de Wattripont (21)

BLUE (£10) Adrian Jones (27)

Yet again a couple of our winners have already won at least once this year, and Adrian has won in only the second draw he has participated in.

After the draw yesterday evening another member wants to sign up, so we are now up to thirty in the draw. Apart from being a bit of good fun this is a significant financial help to the Club and brings in £100 per month which goes into our fundraising account. We still need more people to join so that we can offer more exciting prizes in future.

Are you interested in becoming a Level 1 Coach? If so you might be interested to know that there will be a course starting next year around March. The course will be run in the Southampton area and the approximate cost will be £200. The course is also open to juniors in the age range 15 – 19 and financial support from GNAS might be available.

On Sunday 18th Sept, 4 Sway Bowmen entered the Hampshire Championships held at Exbury by Waterside Archers. The weather was unsettled with a few showers and some sunshine.

A York round (6doz arrows at 100yds 4doz at 80yds and 2doz at 60yds) was shot by Nick Burnay (Compound) 1086, Steve Humphrey (Recurve) 737 and Paul Graham (Recurve) 674. Also a Bristol 1 (6doz at 80yds, 4doz at 60yds and 2doz at 50yds) was shot by Philip Graham (Junior recurve) 927.

Philip won his category to become Hampshire County Junior Gent Recurve Champion – WELL DONE!

Chris Baigent a non affiliated member scored 1120 shooting a York round with a Recurve bow and became Hampshire County Recurve Champion.
