On Saturday 24th September, The Hampshire County Longbow Championships were held at Eastleigh.

The weather was perfect, nice and sunny with a a light breeze. 3 Sway Bowmen attended shooting a Double Two Way  National round ( 4doz at 60yds and 2doz at 50yds) in the morning then again in the afternoon. Adrian Jones shooting his first tournament shot a very good score of 253 and 266 with a double score of 519. Roy Bower scored 212 and 218 with a double score of 430. Sandie Baigent scored 224 and 177 with a double score of 401 placing her 2nd Lady Longbow.

As Sway had three archers they were able to enter a team and ended up in 3rd place.

Notice is hereby given that an Extraordinary General Meeting, EGM, of Sway Bowmen Club is called for Wednesday 24th August at 19.00hrs. The meeting will be held at the shooting field in North Common Lane, Sway. Â The meeting is to discuss and vote on changes to the club's byelaws/constitution. Please make every effort to attend this important meeting. Normal Wednesday evening shooting will continue after the EGM.
