Three archers from Sway Bowmen travelled to Bishops Waltham to take part in Merdon Bowmens 36th Annual Agincourt Arrow Tournament (A Long Western round - 4 doz arrows @ 80 yards and 4 doz @ 60 yards). Bryan Golden scoring 724 on a Compound and was declared the best archer at shooting a score nearest to his own handicap. Conditions were near perfect, warm and sunny with a slight breeze, helping one of the team to take the trophy home to Sway for three consecutive years, a great record in itself. At the same shoot Trevor Chalk shooting Recurve scored 696 and Laurence de Wattripont also shooting Recurve scored 556. Today's Club Championships went well but it was a bit on the windy side and not very warm but despite that there were some good scores especially from the juniors.
