On Sunday 11th December 8 Sway Bowmen travelled to Eastleigh to take part in Hampshire County Indoor Archery Championships. Portsmouth rounds were shot (5doz arrows at 20yds) 3 sessions of 5doz arrows were held throughout the day.
Our Juniors did well Philip Graham shooting a Recurve bow scored 541 and 544 scoring 1085 for the double placing him 3rd Junior Boy recurve for single and 1st for a double round. Felix de Wattripont shooting a compound bow scored 548 and 539 scoring 1087 for the double placing him 2nd Junior Compound boy for both single and double.Chris Organ shooting Recurve scored 424 for single round he was awarded the Lady Paramount prize.Also Sandie Baigent shooting a Longbow scored 384 and 346 scoring 730 for the double placing her 1st Lady Longbow for both the single and the double. Picture shows Sandie scoring 3 10's which is rare for a Longbow.

Nick Nicholson made an announcement to my embarrassment when I got those 3 10s saying if a Longbow could do it why hasn't everyone else.
Other Archers scores for the day were Laurence de Wattripont (Compound) 552 and 537 scoring 1089 for Double, Bryan Golden (Recurve) 528 and 531 scoring 1059 for double, Paul Graham (Recurve) 537 and 510 scoring 1047 for double and Trevor Chalk (Recurve) 511 and 513 scoring 1024 for double.
On Saturday 10th December an indoor Portsmouth round was shot at New Milton Recreation Center by members of Sway Bowmen . Laurence de Wattripont (Compound) 537, Felix de Wattripont (C) 527, Bryan Golden (R) 519, Mick Hayman (R) 506, Steve Humphrey (R) 497, Richard Oldfield (Trad) 351, Annie Humphrey (Junior compound) 516 and Olivia Humphrey (Junior Barebow) 151.
