There was a good turnout today to plant the 420 trees that were donated by the Woodland Trust as part of the Jubilee Wood Project.
To celebrate the anniversary of Queen Elizabeth ll's historic 2012 Diamond Jubilee, the Woodland Trust is helping millions of people across the UK to come together to plant 6 million trees. The trees we planted around the Range consisted of Blackthorn, hawthorn, hazel, silver birch, rowan and common oak.
The pack of trees that we received also contained a special tree, a special royal sapling, grown from tree seeds collected on a royal estate.
Our Chairman Simon was given the honor of planting the Royal Tree.

Were the locals watching us planting their breakfast!
