On May 15th we held a slightly damp but very enjoyable Line-Cutter Tournament.
15 Archers were present. We had a delayed start due to heavy rain and were very thankful to be able to keep warm and dry and socialise in our new clubhouse. When the skies cleared we headed out and shot a Long metric IV (3 Dozen at 40m followed by 3 Dozen at 30m).
The Trophy (with sweets) went to Jo Long for recording the most line-cutting arrows with a stunning total of 18 out of the 72 arrows. This is only the fourth time in history of the trophy that a score of 18 has been achieved. The record still stands at 20 achieved by Mike Lee in 2016.
Full results can be found here and some pictures of the event are in the gallery here

The Eco Shoot was held. 20 archers took part with 4 non-shooting captains. This fun event was shot barebow and was the result of an original idea from Ophelia Clarke, aided and abetted most ably by Jem Mason. The event aimed (sic) to raise awareness of ecological issues and the need to address climate change.
